The Long Riders' Guild

Jakki Cunningham is planning another ride from France's southern coast to England

The SLL (SETE LORIENT LONDON) is a Franco-British charity which has embarked on a humanitarian project with La Sauvegard 56 in France and The Prince's Trust in the UK.

The goal is to buy horses in the Camargue in Southern France, train them, ride them across France and England and donate them to centres for children and people with disabilities.

In 2005 SLL carried out this project successfully, riding with four horses from the Camargue to Norfolk.   For more information about that journey, please click here.  Jakki herself rode every step of the way.

The SLL White Horses 2008 Journey of Discovery is in the same spirit as that of 2005, but this time ten horses will be involved and ten disadvantaged young people will be chosen to help look after and ride the horses.  They will be escorted and accompanied by qualified adults and team leaders at all times during this journey.

They are scheduled to depart on 5th May 2008.
