Doc Mishler, a cancer survivor, ended his first journey on Thursday, 23rd September, at the national office of Bread for the World, a movement against hunger. Doc rode from Montana to California, then to Texas, and then to Washington DC. Now Doc is planning to ride into Washington DC again at cherry blossom time to address Congress. After that, he and his trusty companions will make the journey back to Montana, with a small detour to the shores of the Pacific Ocean! This modern-day Johnny Appleseed is making his journeys to raise awareness of and money for starving children all around the world. "Every day fifty thousand children die of hunger and hunger-related illnesses. This is unacceptable. I ride for them."
