The Light Cavalry Association - recreating the retreat of the British Army from Belgium to France in 1914

The Light Cavalry Association,  a group of military mounted enthusiasts, will be recreating the ride of the British Army on its retreat from Belgium to the river Marne in France. The distance of the ride will be 200 miles over ten days. The route will be that of the Army of the BEF in 1914 when retreating in good order.

The ride will take place in August 2010, and around 15 to 30 riders are expected to take part in the expedition. All horses will be in military tack.
