The Long Riders' Guild

Through Brazil

José Reis, Pedro Luis de Aguiar and  Jorge Dias de Aguiar rode from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Uruguay, then north to the Brazil-French Guyana border and back to Sao Paulo.
The journey, which lasted from 1991 to 1993, covered 19,400 kilometres (12,000 miles). The riders used six Manga Larga stallions named El Cid, Itajubá do Pau-Alho, Itaparica, Pega-Boi, Pensamento, and Estrato.
