The Long Riders' Guild

Robert Fantom is riding to all four corners of Australia

March 2009:  Long Rider Robert Fantom has written to The Guild.

I am finally able to SADDLE UP and head to the for compass points of Australia. I have had my leg and knee operated on and I have the Orthopedic surgeon's blessing to go.  I've had three operations on my leg and one minor knee reconstruction. So now I can move on. Over the last four years traveling with this leg has been inconvenient:   not being able to head to the far north only to have to come back to the north-east of  Victoria, then head east only to come back again well now it's go go go.

On Good Friday the 10-04-09 I am leaving Albury on a complete tour of Australia with only two horses.  For economical reasons I sadly had to send Serge back to his mom in Melbourne - he is the gray Arab in the background of the photo.  I can get him back any time if I want, but for now I will just go with Madison the bay and Oakey the chestnut and Mouse the Jack Russell.

This Ride will also be for the Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia.

Good luck, Robert!
