A Ride through Australia

Ken Lee

This email came in to LRG HQ in July 2009.

I intend to ride from our home in South Australia to the Murrumbidgee River in New South Wales and along it to its source in the mountains.

Water availability is always a problem in Australia and certainly so in recent times.  Rest assured my horses will be my main concern. I will travel with no dogs and no weapons and have reported my route to local police who will advise police stations along the route. I will carry a UHF phone or sat phone as cell phone access through the remote areas is poor - my wife's decision and not negotiable.

Ken has now (September 2009) started his journey, and here is a link to his blog for more information.
