Waking up in the colourful
Tien Shan |
"As the Chinese
Government opened Xinjiang only recently for individual travel, there were very few guidebooks available in which we could find information about the
route
we wanted to take. We had seen only very few pictures and had no clear idea how
the Tien Shan mountains would be like. So our journey was a real discovery for
us. Also the people on our way were very surprised to see foreigners and
invited us over and over."
