Full Members of The Long Riders' Guild

After the launch of the Guild website, records of hundreds of equestrian journeys were publicized for the first time. Subsequently Members of the Guild are those horse humans from more than forty countries, all of whom have completed an equestrian journey of at least one thousand miles.

Mouhamad-Ajmal Abdoulvahab and Angela Milli, along with their children Ingis and Iyan, rode across Argentina.


Harry and Lisa Adshead - rode from their home in Wales to Jordan.

Pedro Luis de Aguiar, Jorge Dias de Aguiar, and José Reis - rode from Sao Paulo to Uruguay, then south to the Brazil-French Guyana border and back to Sao Paulo.

Verne Albright - rode from Chiclayo, Peru, to Los Gatos, California, thereby introducing the Peruvian Paso horse into North American equestrian culture.  Author of "The Long Way to Los Gatos."

Mary Jo Alfieri rode from Erie, Pennsylvania to Banning, California.

 Claire Alldritt - pioneered a thousand mile route through all of Scotland. .

Adam del Amor - rode from Colorado to Arizona and back with Jeremiah Bayes.

Paulo Junqueira Arantes  - made numerous journeys in Brazil, including riding the length of the Estrada Real, the historic trail that crosses the the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

José María Argento rode from Los Glaciares National Park, located in Santa Cruz Province in Patagonia near Mount Fitz Roy, to the base of the Lanin Volcano, located in the Lanin National Park in the Province of Neuquén, Argentina.

Greg Arthur- Rode from Pittsburgh to Garden City, Kansas.

Conan Asmussen - rode from Canada to the Mexican border when he was ten years old.

Hans Asmussen - rode from Canada to the Mexican border.

Margo Atwood Langstaff - rode across the United States during the Bicentennial Summer of 1976.

Russ Austin - rode from Long Beach, California, to Glenrio, Texas in 1993.

Adnan Azzam - has made three historic rides, including North America, and a journey across North Africa which included Mecca.  Author of "Le Cavalier de l'Espoir".
